Christmas Party 2009

On the 15th of December 2009 Pear Tree Children's Centre celebrated Christmas with the families of Kirkham by holding a Stay and Play session at Kirkham Community Centre. With face painting, bouncy castle, arts and crafts, party food, other brilliant activities and a visit from Father Christmas fun times were had by all!

National Sure Start Week (14th-18th September 09)

GIANT Stay and Play Session

On the 16th of September Pear Tree Children’s Centre  held a special celebration event today to mark Sure Start Children’s Centre Week. We held a ‘Giant Stay and Play Session’, which was attended by over 80 local families with children! Face painting, a giant bouncy castle, arts and crafts, badge making and a variety of other enthralling activities ensured a fabulous time was had by all. Parents were also able to chat to centre staff and learn about all the facilities on offer at Sure Start Children’s Centres. Throughout the day by providing sessions such as story time, song time and a visit from our new partner organisation ‘Talking Tots’; we supported a number of projects advocated by Sure Start around Early Language Development. These activities also allowed parents to chat to our speech therapists and play workers about ways to carry out this incentive at home.
